December 8, 2022 – Plant Tour

Agenda:

Everyone attending will need to sign the Visitor Agreement and abide by the dress code.  Covanta will provide the hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection for the tour.    We will also have another copy of the Visitor Agreement available at the site in case anyone forgets to sign or is unable to sign in advance.

Note on Directions and Where to Go:

General directions from I476 are as follows:

• Follow 476 to Exit 18 (Norristown)
• Exit onto Ridge Pike
• Follow Ridge Pike to Conshohocken Road (there will be a Wawa at on the left at the intersection of Ridge Pike and Conshohocken Road)
• Turn left onto Conshohocken Road
• Turn left on Academy Drive (Montgomery County Public Safety Academy will be on the left)
• Follow Academy Drive to the Covanta Plymouth gate

When coming to the Facility, please use the entrance off of Academy Drive.   Many GPS systems will route people to the truck entrance of the Facility, located off of Alan Wood Road (across from Home Depot).   We do not recommend that entrance for safety reasons.    Additionally, the truck gate will be locked prior to the 5:30 pm tour.   Therefore, if someone wants to GPS the site, you may want to use the address for the Montgomery County Public Safety Academy (1175 Conshohocken Road) then follow Academy Drive to our gate.   When arriving, please come to the Administration Building (the smaller of the two building on the site).  If the gate is closed when you arrive, you may call the Control Room at 610-940-6000 and they will open the gate for you
