USDA Biotech Tour and DVS Networking Social

The USDA’s Eastern Regional Research Center:
- performs pioneering research in sustainable bioenergy, food safety, and health-promoting foods
- was named a National Historic Chemical Landmark in 2007
- invites YOU to a RARE tour of its pilot plants and fermentation labs
The Eastern Regional Research Center (ERRC) is one of the main research labs within the Agricultural Research Service (ARS), the research arm of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The tour will cover the pilot scale facilities at ERRC, with a focus on the biofuels research units.
Tour topics include: Biodiesel from Natural Oil, Fast Pyrolysis of Biomass, Supercritical CO2 Pasteurization, Innovations in Dairy Research, and Fermentation.
Before the tour, we’ll meet for a brief networking social, including a light dinner.

To check in, please arrive at the front circle drive of the building. There should be enough room to park in the circle drive. From there, you will have to check in at the front desk.

Non-Members and Guests $40
Young Professionals Non-members: $40 (includes one year DVS membership)
Students: $15
Dress Code:
No open-toed shoes, sandals, or shorts
Reservation Deadline:
Tour registrations close at 5:00 PM Friday October 24, 2014 or once the first 25 registrations are received.
Cancellations received on or before October 24 will be fully refunded.
