Oktoberfest Social / Brewery Tour

VICTORY BREWING COMPANY

DVS Returns to Victory!

Join us on Thursday, October 22, at 5 PM, for our premier fall social event, Oktoberfest ’09! In what is becoming an annual tradition, the Delaware Valley Section once again returns to Victory Brewing Company, manufacturer of highly acclaimed, award winning beer. Take this opportunity to network with members of the Wilmington Section, which joins us as a co-host of this year’s event. This event continues to be highly popular… Don’t delay; reserve your spot, now!

Based on positive feedback from past participants, this event features:

  • The always fresh and entertaining tour of the brewing process

  • Networking opportunities

  • Socializing

  • Casual, relaxed atmosphere

  • Open buffet of tasty food

  • Insanely delicious beer

Victory is, first and foremost, a state-of-the-art brewing plant. It is unlike most trendy brew pubs and microbreweries, whose very limited manufacturing capability is secondary to the restaurant and bar operation. Victory’s brewery produced over 42,000 barrels of beer in 2008 (with a capacity nearly double that). Their highly desirable, award-winning beers are marketed in at least 23 states and are known around the world. Just in the last month, their Prima Pils was named one of eight great pilsners of the world (by Gourmet Magazine) and one of the world’s best bottled beers (“best to drink with a burger” by Imbibe Magazine).

We’ve watched their facility expand (toured their new brew house, met in their new beer hall of the renovated restaurant). There’s always something new to check out, be it a state-of-the-art Austrian growler-filler or a centrifuge (new this year).

Another highlight… Our Victory hosts are always informative and entertaining. Who can forget last year when our animated host, Matt, busted open a bottle of Golden Monkey with a machete? More beer ended up on him than in the “Drunken Mussels” recipe he was demonstrating!

If you haven’t been, come see what everyone is talking about. Bring a friend, co-worker, or spouse. Plan to beat the traffic by arriving early. Even if you can’t make the (optional, but recommended) tour, please join us for the complimentary beer tasting, food, and socializing that follows.
