When Yards opened in 1994, it resuscitated Philadelphia’s brewing legacy by ending a decades-long period without any operational breweries. Now in a new location in the thriving Northern Liberties Neighborhood, Tom Kehoe’s 100% wind powered brewery -the only in Pennsylvania- churns out a yearly 12,500 barrels on its signature ales. Its unique “Ales of the Revolution”: line is based on recipes conceived by Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin and George Washington.
