- Why treat wastewater?
- Wastewater contaminant categories
- Pre-treatment (free oil and solid removal)
- Primary treatment (Physical/Chemical)
- Secondary treatment (Biological)
- Tertiary treatment, Reuse
- Residuals/sludge handling
The basic unit operations of each treatment section will be discussed along with whys and hows.
About the Speaker:
Mikel E. Goldblatt, P.E., Applications Project Manager – Water and Wastewater – Industrial Water Treatment
Mikel is a problem solver and innovator. He has over 25 years of industrial water treatment experience gained from process engineering, technical support, project development, wastewater operations and consulting. Using valuable experience gained from many hundreds of onsite troubleshooting visits, he has honed a collaborative and innovative style as an investigative problems identifier and solution provider. He currently serves as chairman of the Industrial Wastewater Committee of the Water Environment Federation (WEF), and has contributed to forums and presented papers on education and advancements in wastewater treatment and water reuse.
