Abstract of Talk:
Emerging contaminants (ECs) and micropollutants are becoming a global environmental problem as there is increasing information linking them to environmental and human health hazards. Recent studies have shown that conventional technologies such as biological treatment or activated carbon adsorption can successfully remove many of the identified ECs. Others may require advanced treatment using technologies such as advanced oxidation, MBR, or novel adsorbent materials. This presentation provides a review focus ECs removal potential with conventional and advanced technologies.
