Please join us for a new effort to provide continued education, dinner, and a great opportunity to network with old and new colleagues. This is the second process safety meeting and is a good opportunity to learn more about a very important topic – process safety and for Professional Engineers to earn 2 PDH (Professional Development Hours) credits which are required by many states including Pennsylvania to retain PE active status. The session will include a workshop designed to provide hands on training with important process safety analysis techniques.
Linda and Bob will discuss considerations in the design of pressure relief systems. They will cover the applicability of the various codes and standards for the design of relief valves and rupture disks. They will cover design case assessment – fire, tube rupture, liquid and vapor expansion, and two-phase flow scenarios. The session will include the design of discharge collection systems, manifolding, and ‘bump’ tanks.
