Abstract:

Proper application of fluid dynamic principles and methods is critical to high quality process and equipment design and effective process operation. This lecture will review the most important fundamental principles. Some of these will be remembered from college courses, but some will be new learnings for many practicing engineers. Calculation and design methods for important fluid flow applications will be described with examples.
